Het ontdekken en verdiepen in muziektheater met zangers een regisseurs is een passie geworden. Voix Humaine met Floris Visser en Deirdre Angenent; Songs of Mourning met Matt Lynch en Adva Tas; en Tell me the truth about love met Gusta Gerritsen en Maartje Rammeloo & Jan Willem Schaafsma zijn een paar van mijn favoriete producties.
Zangcoaching
Vanaf 2000 werk ik aan de DNOA. Eerst met Sandy Oliver en nu met Paul McNamara. Jonge opera zangers begeleiden betekent hun wereld rijker maken met verschillende stijlen, en hun zangkunst blijven ontwikkelen zodat ze magische verhalen kunnen vertellen.
In de privé praktijk coach ik vele zangers in hun voorbereiding tot concerten audities en concerten.

Kamermuziek
Voor het eerst een Britten cello sonate spelen… of Schnittke.. twee wereldreizen. Het samen ademen en het verhaal ontvouwen in een Mozart viool sonata of Bartok sonate voor twee vleugels en twee slagwerk spelers… Het mooiste wat je met je collega musici kan beleven en dat samen met de wereld om ons heen.

Pianiste Mirsa Adami begon haar pianostudie in Tirana, Albanië aan de muziekschool “Jordan Misja” bij Elsa Veizi en Takuina Adami. In 1991 kwam ze naar Nederland en studeerde bij Jan Huizing en Jan Wijn aan het Sweelinck Conservatorium Amsterdam - waar ze in 2000 met onderscheiding afstudeerde. Sindsdien is ze als pianist en coach verbonden aan de Dutch National Opera Academy (DNOA) en werkt graag met zangers in operarepertoire en liedkunst.
Van 2000 - 2010 was ze vaste pianiste in de celloklas bij Holland Music Sessions. In hun serie Masters on Tour speelde ze o.a. de 3e pianosonate van Chopin op tournee in Amsterdam, Zwolle en Tallinn (Estland).
Ze speelt veel kamermuziek: met het Darius Ensemble een aantal tournees door Nederland en met violisten Cecilia Bernardini, Birthe Blom en Arthur Russanovsky vele concerten in binnen- en buitenland. Met sopranen Martina Prins en Adva Tas ontwikkelt ze programma’s met muziek van Alma Mahler, Poulenc, Zemlinsky, Verdi en anderen.
Mirsa heeft meermalen op het Prinsengrachtfestival opgetreden alsmede concerten gegeven in Nederland en andere landen, zoals Italië, Frankrijk, Duitsland en Japan, Slovenië, Engeland, Verenigde Staten.
In 2004 maakte ze haar debuut in de Grote Zaal van het Concertgebouw met het derde pianoconcert van Prokofjev met het VU orkest o.l.v. Daan Admiraal.
Ze heeft drie cd’s opgenomen: een solo-cd met muziek van Debussy en Chopin; liederen van Schumann en Mahler met bariton Marco Bakker; “Key Connections” met muziek voor orgel en piano samen met organisten Susanna Veerman en Wim Does.
De samenwerking met tekenaar John Minnion heeft geleid tot vele concerten in Wales, Liverpool en London met muziek van Chopin, Beethoven, Clementi en Mozart. Hun laatste project was met preludes van Debussy en muziek van Satie en Milhaud.
In 2015 kreeg ze van de Franse “Arts - Sciences - lettres” de ‘Médaille d’étain’ voor haar verdienste in het spelen en promoten van de Franse muziek. In 2017 speelde ze in het Pessoa Festival in Brazilië met o.a. Femke IJlstra saxofoon en Rosanne Philippens, viool.
Samen met de alt Ingeborg Breugler voerde ze Frank Martin’s “Jedermann” uit in een regie van Klaus Bertisch en Jan - Rennik Zegers in het Muziektheater Amsterdam.
In 2018 speelde Mirsa met celliste Katharina Gross in het festival Albania-Austria Cultural Year een programma met composities uit de beide landen. Met celliste Julia Tom nam ze Schumann’s – ‘Fünf Stücke im Volkston’ op voor haar debuutalbum “Origins”.
In 2019 speelde ze met opera Armida en regisseur Matt Lynch “ Songs of Mo(u)rning” met de sopraan Adva Tas en leerlingen van de internationale school in Amstelveen.
Met het PA’dam kamerkoor voerde ze in het najaar van 2021 het Mozart Requiem uit in een tournee door Nederland, met een nieuw geschreven pianopartij van Gustavo Trujillo.
“ Tell me the Truth about Love” is de nieuwste muziektheatervoorstelling waar Mirsa in speelt - in de regie van Gusta Gerritsen - uitgevoerd in Maastricht, Heerlen en Den Haag. Sopraan Maartje Rammeloo en tenor Jan Willem Schaafsma maken een reis door opera, liedkunst, musical en wereldliteratuur op zoek naar het mysterie en de betekenis van liefde.
Pianist Mirsa Adami began her piano studies in Tirana, Albania at the 'Jordan Misja' music school with Elsa Veizi and Takuina Adami. She came to the Netherlands in 1991 and studied with Jan Huizing and Jan Wijn at the Sweelinck Conservatorium Amsterdam – from which she graduated with distinction in 2000. She has since been attached to the Dutch National Opera Academy (DNOA) as a pianist and coach and enjoys working with singers in opera repertoire and art song.
From 2000 until 2010 she was the permanent pianist to the cello class of The International Holland Music Sessions. In their series Masters on Tour, she performed Chopin's third piano sonata on tour in Amsterdam, Zwolle and Tallinn (Estonia).
She often performs chamber music: a number of tours in the Netherlands with the Darius Ensemble and many concerts at home and abroad with violinists Cecilia Bernardini, Birthe Blom and Arthur Russanovsky. With sopranos Martina Prins and Adva Tas she has developed programmes with music by Alma Mahler, Poulenc, Zemlinsky, Verdi and others.
Mirsa performed in the Prinsengrachtfestival several times and she gave concerts in the Netherlands and in other countries, including Italy, France, Germany and Japan, Slovenia, the UK and the US.
In 2004, she made her debut in the Grote Zaal of the Concertgebouw performing Prokofiev's third piano concerto with the VU orchestra conducted by Daan Admiraal.
Mirsa recorded three CDs – a solo CD with music by Debussy and Chopin; songs by Schumann and Mahler with baritone Marco Bakker; "Key Connections" with music for piano and organ together with organists Susanna Veerman and Wim Does.
The collaboration with visual artist John Minnion resulted in many concerts in Wales, Liverpool and London, with music by Chopin, Beethoven, Clementi and Mozart. Their latest project involved preludes by Debussy and music by Satie and Milhaud.
In 2015 she was awarded the 'Médaille d'étain' by the French "Arts – Sciences - Lettres" for her merit playing and promoting French music. In 2017 she performed in the Pessoa Festival in Brazil with Femke IJlstra, saxophone and Rosanne Philippens, violin and others.
Together with alto Ingeborg Breugler she performed Frank Martin's "Jedermann" in a direction by Klaus Bertisch and Jan-Rennik Zegers at the Muziektheater in Amsterdam.
In 2018, Mirsa and cellist Katharina Gross performed a programme with compositions from the two countries in the Albania-Austria Cultural Year festival.
She recorded Schumann’s ‘Fünf Stücke im Volkston’ with cellist Julia Tom on her album debut “Origins”.
In 2019, Mirsa performed “Songs of Mo(u)rning” with Opera Armida directed by Matt Lynch, with soprano Adva Tas and students from the International School in Amstelveen.
Mirsa performed Mozart’s Requiem in an adaptation with a new piano part composed by Gustavo Trujillo with the PA’dam chamber choir during a tour of the Netherlands in the fall of 2021.
“Tell me the Truth about Love” is the latest music theatre production Mirsa has performed in – directed by Gusta Gerritsen and presented in Maastricht, Heerlen and The Hague. Soprano Maartje Rammeloo and tenor Jan Willem Schaafsma journey through opera, art song, musical and world literature in search of the mystery and the meaning of love.
